Exceptional! We were here for two days. Very good food and amazing location. They are next to Vijaynagar beach where you can walk ~1.5km into the ocean in low tide as water is shallow and the beach is rarely visited by outsiders. There are plenty of food options in a walkable distance.

What a place! We arrived here for our honeymoon and immediately had problems as an absent minded person / tour agent had taken our luggage as theirs. The staff and manager here instantly gave us temporary supplies and helped us track it down within a day with the help of police and their internal network. All staff paid special attention to us and kept updating us as best as they could. The service extended to how they catered for us as vegans. We had special items made for us at no additional cost and they even had soy milk shipped into the hotel for our stay for coffees. Throughout our India trip at various hotels, food has not always been a hit and some places have somehow had low flavour, but not here. Everything was 100% yum. They cook only upon order, and from scratch, and it shows. I also appreciate that it brings you into a slow way of living and makes you relax - you place an order an hour or 2 before and they call you when the food is fresh and ready. I have never stayed at a hotel as luxurious as this but, even then, the service and willingness to go above and beyond was what shone brightest. This is extra hard considering not only the luxury, but also the amount of things that are complimentary e.g. sunrise and sunset chai / nasta, bicycle / helmet hire and underwater shoes for the tidal walk, amongst many others. The location's focus on being eco friendly and environmental personally rang a bell with me - I was looking for such a place and I am glad to report that they really live up to it. I would highly highly recommend this place for anyone. 5 stars isn't near enough.

Conflicted Feelings About Tilar Siro Hotel. This review might be influenced by my stay over New Year's Eve, accompanied by a significantly higher room rate, but several points remain pertinent: 1. Rooms: Good quality, but for an eco-friendly hotel, the absence of automatic light shut-off is surprising. 2. Wi-Fi: It's available but inconvenient, requiring frequent re-entry of a code from coupons. 3. Staff: Excellent and without any complaints. 4. Service: Generally good but with notable issues. For the price, additional charges for snorkeling gear and water shoes rental were unexpected. The alcohol had a very high markup. A tray left outside my room for room service was only cleared after a day. 5. Food: The menu is decent, but the lack of descriptions for Indian dishes can be challenging for non-Indian tourists. Regular issues with the availability of napkins and drinking water at the table were noted. The New Year's Eve celebration was a letdown. The program consisted of only a few live songs and a DJ set. The choice of psytrance music during the soundcheck felt out of place. A more diverse and engaging lineup, especially considering the international clientele, would have significantly enhanced the experience. Overall, am I satisfied with my stay? Yes, it's among the best hotels I've experienced in India. Would I recommend it? Regrettably, no.

The cleanling of the room is very bad or there is a lot of problem with electricity, the generator is bad or the condition is very bad, the way of talking to the staff is very bad... the serving tray in the restaurant is very bad or the food is always tasteless. ..the hair in the food is coming out..or the manager named Marvin Dicosta is there.i gave money for liquor bottle or he brought me only quarter...or when Dicosta talks the tobacco is spilled or what else I will not return to CGH's property again.

I think it was the best part of my trip. I can't think of focussing on one thing and explaining it bt they are very sustainable towards nature and yet cater to the needs of the guests in literally way that's possible. Food is absolute heaven and a must try. Its alacarte based so whatever's is right there on the spot. They talk orders atleast an hour prior so they serve our choice of food in the best way. Scenic beaty is top notch and the resort staff is Very lovely. A very homely and family sort of an environment. i could go on and on bt I'd leave the rest to be explored.

Traveling with an infant, we had a memorable stay at Tilar Silo in Havelock. Having stayed at other CGH resorts, expectation was high and this one exceeded expectations ! Highlights: Amazing hospitality from the staff at all times. Presentation by the Resort manager, Anil at check in about the property, island history and the activities available helped us plan our stay. Unique and unforgettable experience of bird watching and the tidal walk with the in house naturalist - Akhil. Location: Right on Vijaynagar beach, about 15 mins drive from Ferry terminal. Rooms and Food: Spacious rooms with eco friendly thoughts on the amenities. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with local and fresh ingredients - Must try is the tender coconut juice !

I stayed at CGH in my recent trip to Havelock. The experience I had here was awesome right from spacious rooms, amazing and courteous staff to a private beach access which made the location best. They checking on you for everything right to ensure things are ok in the room to the food being served was not something which many do. I would recommend everyone to stay here if you plan a trip to Havelock. This experience will make me book a cgh property wherever I go if they are present.

It was a family vacation for 6 days and we chose Tilar Silo, a CGH resort. In the past we have stayed at other CGH resorts and we really enjoyed their hospitality. So choosing Tilar Silo was a no-brainer for us. This resort is right on the Vijaynagar beach. After a warm welcome, we had a nice presentation by Mr. Anil about the resort, location etc. The room is spacious and has a nice sitout facing the beach. Like all CGH resorts they are very environmentally conscious. Amazing food and service. The staff is very proactive and very helpful with suggestions on location, transportation or local food etc. We had a very informative tidal walk with their in house naturalist Akhil and Anand. They have a varied menu daily, based on the arrival of fresh food. And they share the same daily morning, so one can order in advance since they believe in slow cooking. Unfortunately we had to cut short our visit since we planned the return to Chennai same day. In my experience its rare for resort to refund, when it was our mistake and when we advanced our return by a day last minute but CGH was very gracious enough to refund.( Its always better to plan checkout one day before and so one can catch the flight next day, given the ferry can get delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions) Congratulations to Mr Anil and team for a fantastic stay and treated us like family, look forward to visit again and other CGH resorts!
